Snapshot of the interactive web application for transcriptomic data exploration and comparison. Sherpa (http://sherpa.pasteur.fr) allows users to perform individual dataset and multiple dataset analysis. In the individual dataset analysis (shown), the user chooses the dataset for which the analysis is to be performed. Then, it is possible to identify differentially expressed genes (e.g., volcano plot), compare the expression of selected genes in the quiescent and activated state (e.g., heatmap, as shown in the figure), and the distribution of the samples according to their variability (principal component analysis). All these analyses are interactive, as they allow the user to set the thresholds of fold change (logFC) and false discovery rate (adj. P value)
