β-arrestin 1 is required for enhanced Ca2+ transient in FDB fiber upon β2AR activation. Net peak amplitude of Ca2 + transient at different stimulation duration of FDB fibers after 2 weeks of stimulation with vehicle or clenbuterol (1 mg/kg/day) from WT (a) and βarr1KO (b). Data represent the mean ± SEM from at least five independent experiments. Statistical comparison of the curves was performed by using a two-way ANOVA with Sidak’s multiple comparison test (*, P < 0.05; ***, P < 0.001).
