Hub genes defined by module membership (MM) and gene significance (GS). In WGCNA, GS represents the correlation between a gene and a trait. The MM represents the correlation between an individual gene and the module eigengene. GS is plotted on the y-axis, MM is plotted on the x-axis, and each point represents an individual gene within each module. A Forty-five hub genes were identified according to a GS >0.8 and an MM >0.8 within the turquoise module.
