Cross-sectional profiles of regenerating fibres. A 12-μm-thick serial sections of a biopsy from regenerating, healthy, human vastus lateralis muscle 30 days after necrosis induced by electrically stimulated eccentric contractions. Sections were stained with dystrophin to label the sarcolemma.
